St-Eustache, QC (September 10, 2017)- Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team looked for more success during round number 12 of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Saturday night at the Autodrome St. Eustache just outside Montreal, Quebec. However a racecar that was a handful for the driver left prevented a better result.

During the afternoon practice session Ranger was unable to show the speed that has been on display in the past at St. Eustache in the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.

“We changed some things on the car after practice and that seemed to help” said Ranger.

Ranger would post the eighth fastest time during qualifying runs and start the 250-lap feature event from the fourth row. As the green flag waved Ranger looked to move the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge forward in the field.

“We got a position or two and made some further adjustments during out pit stop for fuel,” explained the driver.

The #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team expected to make another pit stop somewhere around the midpoint of the event during a caution period for fresh tires and to make further adjustments. However the yellow never waved, the race ran green for the final 174 laps and the car became difficult to drive.

“The race never went yellow again and we didn’t get a chance to put new tires on or make some other adjustments, it’s too bad the team worked hard all day but we never got the chance during the race to make the car better” said Ranger.

Ranger would hustle the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge as best he could to the finish and would cross the line with an eighth place finish.

Andrew Ranger and the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge team wrap up the 2017 season September 23rd at Jukasa Speedway.
