@ProStockTour •@pettyraceway_nb •Halifax, NS, (July 20, 2016) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway, located just outside of Moncton, NB for this Saturday’s Irving Blending & Packaging 150. The 150-lap feature marks round seven of 12 for the popular regional touring series. Approximately 20 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Qualifying for the Irving Blending & Packaging 150 will take place at 6:00 PM with Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races. Tickets for the Irving Blending & Packaging 150 will be available at the gate on race day.

The championship points chase sees some changes following the IWK 250 last weekend at Riverside International. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) finds himself back on top of the points following Cassius Clark’s (Farmington, ME) 24th place finish last weekend, Clark now sits in second 17 points behind Blenkhorn. Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) climbs to third following his home track victory, but he sits just one marker ahead of Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) who has been making his way up the points ladder all season. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) is also moving up in the points chase and rounds out the top five.

A number of New Brunswick drivers will look to defend their home turf on Saturday during the Irving Blending & Packaging 150. Byron Bartlett (Rothesay, NB) is in his first full season with the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour and called Petty International Raceway home in previous seasons in their Sportsman division. Also joining the Series for their second stop at the high banked River Glade oval include Devin Snell (Saint John), 2012 Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year Steve Halpin (Saint John, NB) and Michael Kyle (Sussex).

The 2014 Exide Batteries Rookie of the Year Sarah McKay (Quispamsis, NB) suffered a broken wrist in a crash during the Atlantic Tiltload “B” Feature last weekend at the IWK 250. The injury is expected to sideline the team for this race.

The Extreme Window and Entrance Systems Street Stocks, Mister Transmission Mini Stock and Leisure Days RV Bandolero classes will race on the undercard prior to the Irving Blending & Packaging 150. Admission for Petty International Raceway on Saturday is $30.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 years old); pit admission is $35.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free.
