Speedway 660: Boudreau sharpest shooter in Gunslinger 50

August 24, 2020

(Halifax, NS, July 5, 2012) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will make its only visit this season to Speedway 600 for the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100 presented by Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Speedway 660 is a 1/3 mile high banked oval located just outside of Fredericton in Geary, NB.  Saturday’s Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100 will mark round six of 12; the half-way mark for the popular Maritime based touring series. Qualifying for the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100 gets underway with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials at 6:10 PM, racing action at 7:00 PM.

Local hero and three-time Tour Champion Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) has won this event four times since 2001, including a win last season. Tucker currently sits eighth in the Championship standings, 30 markers behind leader Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS). Tucker entered last weekend’s Lucas Oil 100 with the points lead but a late race crash resulted in a 15th place finish for the No. 52 team. Tucker remains well within the Championship chase however as only ten points separate third through eighth as we round the mid-way point of the season. Tucker and his team will definitely be looking to rebound on their home turf this Saturday at the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100.
Donald Chisholm sits atop the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Championship standings with 964 points, a slim 20 point margin over third place and three-time Tour Champion John Flemming (Halifax, NS). Chisholm holds an even narrower seven point margin over second place Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) who has accumulated 957 points on the season and seems primed for a win. Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) and Kent Vincent (Crapaud, PE) round out the top five, as we head into Saturday’s main event, with 943 and 936 points respectively.
The RV World Street Stocks and Martins Home Heating Sportsman will also be on track Saturday prior to the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100.
Tickets for the Atlantic Dodge Dealers 100 will be available at the gate on race day. Admission is $20.00 for Adults (16yrs and up), Youth are $15.00 (9-15 yrs) and Children eight and under are free. Complete event information can be found at www.maritimeprostocktour.com
