GEARY, NEW BRUNSWICK (Aug. 27, 2018) – After rave reviews a year ago, Pit Row TV will be returning to Speedway 660 to televise the prestigious Canadian Labour Day tradition known as SpeedWeekend which features the Martin’s Home Heating 150 and the McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250. The racing-themed network will once again cover all the action from both days of racing in all classes from Bandoleros and Sharp Shooters through the Sportsman and Pro Stock events. Broadcast and viewing information is available by navigating a web-enabled device to www.pitrow.tv.

The pro stock portion of SpeedWeekend alone pays nearly $75,000 with lap money available to leaders and various bonuses paid throughout the field. Saturday night’s Martin’s Home Heating 150 boasts the biggest sportsman purse in Canada, paying $7500 to the winner with increased payouts through the field from a year ago. Sunday’s feature event consists of 250 green flag laps with a potential winner’s share of $28,500 up for grabs.

“The response to Pit Row TV’s presence last year was overwhelming,” said Max Roy from Speedway 660. “We had fans from across the continent watching Cassius Clark, Dave O’Blenis and all our other winners go to victory lane which was something they’ve never been able to do before. On top of that, our officials were able to utilize the Pit Row TV replay system to help us make the right calls during the race, so it was a benefit for not only our fans, but our competitors as well.”

Last year, viewers watched Cassius Clark claim his fourth win in the Canadian classic, driving his No. 13 King Racing Fury chassis to victory lane after taking advantage of pit strategy and misfortune by American racer Johnny Clark. This year, over two dozen entries flooded the track office on the first day of open entries with additional racers making contact with the facility in the proceeding days.

“We’ve been doing this for quite some time, and each year things continue to get better,” Roy said about the SpeedWeekend festivities. “We’ve learned from both good things and bad things in the past, and this year we’re hoping to see some fantastic racing in all classes. The drivers are pumped up, the current weather forecast is great, and everyone is excited about SpeedWeekend once again, both in the United States and Canada.”

Pit Row TV has earned its place as one of the leading broadcast outlets for motorsports with coverage from various events past and present including the CARS Response Energy Tour, the Modified MEGA 100, the All-American 400 and many more. Since the weekend is one of Canada’s marquee motorsports events, the network will be featuring multiple cameras to capture the action, replays, in-broadcast features, on-screen scoring and more.
