(London, ON) June 27, 2017 – After a few months of preparation it’s finally time for Pete Shepherd III to pound the pavement this Saturday, July 1 at Delaware Speedway in the APC Series. The McColl Racing Enterprises prepared National Exhaust Late Model is receiving its final touches before the upcoming event. This will be Shepherd’s debut in the APC Series
“There are a lot of good racers in this Series and my goal is to run strong and put myself in a position to contend for the win.”
Shepherd had success at Delaware Speedway in the past. Four years ago was the last time he raced on the half-mile paper clip in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, and that afternoon he brought home the win.
“It was a great day for our National Exhaust race team in my hometown city. Delaware is a fun place to race and I look forward to running there again. It’s good to keep those memories in mind but at the same time it’s a new day, and a new race. Hopefully we get the same results!”
Shepherd has joined forces with some new marketing partners for the 2017 season. He also has some familiar ones back on board including National Exhaust who is the primary sponsor again this season. The Brampton born/London resident commented on what it means to have that kind of support.
“Tom Baker and I have raced together for more than half of my life. When I made the decision to get back in the seat this season he was the 1st phone call I made, and he was ready to go. You must have businesses like that if you want to achieve success in this sport.”
Pete Shepherd Motorsports has partnered with ECHO Power Equipment Canada for the 2017 racing season.
“ECHO is a staple in the Outdoor Power Equipment industry, and their new POWER ON AND ON marketing strategy is a perfect fit with our race team. ECHO is the only five year consumer warranty in the industry and we are thrilled to have them on board.”
Our 2017 racing season wouldn’t be possible without the support from Shelby Roofing and Sheet Metal, The Grill Paddle, The Whole Pig, BioX Performance Nutrition, Thrustmaster, Fierce Wraps, Cipra Designs, Schultz Manufacturing, Fairway Transport, Load of Rubbish, COJO Sport Collectables, driven4 Apparel, Insta360, Oxford Learning – Byron, Fendrihan, Bridge Force Financial, Epic Race Wear, Mokuyobi, and driven4communications.
