MILLGROVE, Ontario(January 27, 2021)— After witnessing a driver score their first series victory last year at Flamboro Speedway, the Ontario Sportsman Series by NSCA will make two stops at Flamboro Speedway in 2022.

The series will visit the 1/3 mile oval on May 21, followed by another appearance on September 10. Both events are critical to the 2022 series calendar, as early season success could set the tone for the year, while the second date marks the ninth of 10 on their schedule.

Founded in 2007 as the Ontario Sportsman Series, it is the unofficial successor to the CASCAR Sportsman Series following NASCAR purchasing CASCAR. The series was initially based off of the 2005 Sportsman rulebook.

The series made a single appearance in 2021, but made it worthwhile. After setting the quickest lap in time trials at 16.473 seconds, Todd Shepherd put together a dominating performance, pacing all 50 laps en route to his first career series victory.

NASCAR Pinty’s Series competitor Alex Guenette hounded Shepherd throughout the race, but was unable to find his way en route to a runner-up, giving Hryniuk/Hall Motorsports a one-two finish. Late Model regular Chad Corcoran finished third, followed by Kevin Gallant and Kevin Trevellin.

This announcement just increases the excitement ahead of 2022, including the $50,000 to win Pot of Gold 300 scheduled for Sunday, September 4. The entire schedule will be revealed by track officials closer to the start of the season.

The full schedule once released, along with any other information you may inquire about, can be found on the track’s website at http://www.flamborospeedway.ca.
