The Raceline Radio Network, Canada’s only nationally syndicated motorsport radio program and Canada’s national radio motorsport authority, is delighted to announce News Talk 1290 CJBK, London Ontario, has re-joined as a Network affiliate.
CJBK will air Raceline Radio Monday nights at 7:00 PM Eastern, commencing Monday October 13.
“With Delaware Speedway just minutes away from London, Raceline Radio is a natural fit for NewsTalk 1290 CJBK,” stated CJBK Program Director Scott Simpson.
“Erik Tomas is the brand name for motorsports on talk radio, and I’m excited to have him back on the air in our city as another Canadian voice in our expanding lineup of shows,” Simpson added.
“CJBK was with us originally when we started Raceline rolling 22 years ago, but with programming and management changes, we lost contact. We have been trying to get ‘BK back on The Network ever since, so we couldn’t be more thrilled Scott’s agreed to re-establish the affiliate partnership with us,” commented Raceline Radio Network Anchor Erik Tomas.
“The London market is one of the bench-mark auto racing hotbeds in Canada! Delaware Speedway is the birthplace of the old CASCAR Series, which is now Canada’s only national motorsport sanction, The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. London is the backbone of late model stock car racing in this country. Add that to a long standing drag racing tradition, and you can understand why the London area racing fan base is so important. We couldn’t be happier to link up with race fans in London again!” Tomas continued.
For addition service and to further promote Raceline, Tomas will also be available to CJBK show hosts and program producers for on-air discussion and contributions on news stories and issues pertaining to auto racing and related automotive topics.
News Talk 1290 CJBK London joins a growing list of Bell Media stations on the Raceline Radio Network, including News Talk 610 CKTB St. Catharines, TSN 690 Montreal, TSN 1260 Edmonton, TSN 1200 Ottawa, The TEAM 1040 Vancouver, The TEAM 1410 Vancouver, AM 800 CKLW Windsor, and Cat Country 99.5 Truro..
With long-term support from national broadcast partners Subaru Canada and Tissot Swiss Watches, plus seasonal sponsors Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Watkins Glen International and Kart Start, The Raceline Radio Network now comprises 16 radio stations from Vancouver to Halifax, boasting 21 airings of the program weekly, year-round.
Raceline is broadcast from the studios of AM 900 CHML Hamilton Ontario, and linked to Sportsnet 590 The FAN Toronto Ontario, is distributed and marketed by Rogers Communications.
