A regular exhibitor at both SEMA (Las Vegas) and PRI (Indianapolis), Atturo Tire has been taking the US tire market by storm since 2009. Aggressive designs, slick marketing efforts and quality products are the hallmark of this rising company.
Covering all markets, including DOT race tires, off-road, powersports and even fleet/commercial tires, Atturo has recently set its sights on Canada.
We were able to connect with Atturo at PRI, and their Canadian manager Bill Hume set us up with a set of their TrailBlade AT tires.
Shipped to the guys over at Northern Performance (in Burlington, ON) to install, the N.P. staff were impressed with the quality of the tires, right off the bat.
They took very little weight to balance, which is a trademark of a quality tire manufacturer. In the end, the 265/70R16 size that we chose took very little effort to get right the first time!
Appearance wise, they are a fantastic looking all season, with a semi-aggressive tread pattern, but much ‘meatier’ looking than the Michelins that came off the truck.
A smart looking sidewall with the illusion of a much more aggressive tire gives way to the tread on the shoulder. The overall look isn’t “too much” … it’s just right.
On the road, the wet weather and snow performance was fantastic, with braking being the BIG improvement. Super quiet is all we can say about the noise as we’re 3,000 KM in, with no odd wear patterns or changes in performance.
We expect that as long as we have a good alignment, the on-road and highway noise levels should stay the same.
At present, you can get Atturo tires at Action Truck Centres, and likely a few more shops as Bill Hume, Atturo’s Canadian manager travels coast-to-coast to demonstrate the brand.
