@TMPracing • KOHLER, ON – The Canadian drag racing scene at Toronto Motorsports Park-Cayuga Dragway is gearing up for their first major event of the season on the Victoria Day long weekend.
Racers of the National Drag Racing Association’s Alcohol Funny Cars are chomping on the bit to take on their competition and decide the winner of the first NDRA event of the 2015 season. Die-hard fans are waiting to witness these 3000 horsepower machines barreling down the strip in 5.6 seconds reaching speeds of more than 250 miles per hour.
Lou Pereira (below) is back, back with his 6,000 horsepower, 300 mph Jet Dragster Terminator just in time to WOW the crowds with his flame-thrower. And if Lou isn’t enough to put you at the edge of your seats with high-octane action then this next guy definitely will.
PYRO the 12,000 horse powered Jet Truck, a fire-breathing dragon with 6,000 lbs of thrust reaching speeds over the 300 mph mark. Team owner Rick Kopp who has been dedicated to motorsports for over 30 years drives this beast down the strip as flames lick out of the exhaust stacks.
To add to the list of the already high energy entertainment, there are the Bike and Sleds, the Mod-Super/Pro-Jr. Dragsters and the Quick 16 in the mix of the Victoria Day Weekend.
