Trois-Rivieres, July 19th, 2012 – Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be participating in the esteemed event, Edmonton Indy, this July 22nd in Alberta, behind the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare Dodge.
After being absent for two consecutive years, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series is making its return to Edmonton. The 2011 Rookie of the Year champion, along with the other drivers, will familiarise themselves with the new temporary track configuration during the additional practice session scheduled for this Friday July 20th.
A renowned road circuit specialist, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has left his mark during the last three events (June 16th, 23rd and July 19th) demonstrating to fellow competitors that he is also a serious rival on oval circuits. At the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare, the Quebecer will assimilate the newly configured circuit at the Edmonton City Center Airport (Edmonton « 100 »). The circuit resembles that of Formula 1600 layout: 28 laps, a series of 13 new fast, tight turns for a total of 101.66 kilometers.
I find it interesting that this is a new circuit for everyone, especially since certain drivers were very familiar with the old Edmonton circuit. After having raced in numerous different series on road circuits, this is where I feel the best and I can’t wait to find the wheel of the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/ Bellemare, to experience the track and get ready for the race , shares with enthusiasm the International Racing Instructor

The Edmonton City Center Airport Indy qualifications will take place Saturday July 21st at 6:50 pm (ET). Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will be at the starting grid in the n°47 WeatherTech Canada/Bellemare, Sunday July 22nd at 12:30 pm (ET).
