BOWMANVILLE, ON – Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), Canada’s Legendary Home of Motorsports, is pleased to announce the return of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series for its traditional Labour Day Weekend event, Sept. 3-5, 2027. It’s the first time since 2019 that the series will compete on CTMP’s storied Grand Prix Circuit.

CTMP previously hosted the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series from 2013 to 2019, and the track has hosted events in the NASCAR Canada Series since 2007. CTMP will also continue to host the NASCAR Canada Series and IMSA WeatherTech Series in 2027 (July 11, 2027). NASCAR Canada Series is finalizing its 2027 schedule to be announced later this year.

Chase Elliott won the inaugural Chevrolet Silverado 250 at CTMP on Sept. 1, 2013. Other NASCAR Cup Series drivers celebrating wins on the Grand Prix Circuit include Ryan Blaney, Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek, and Austin Cindric. The renowned 3.957-km (2.459-mi.) Grand Prix circuit’s high-speed configuration comprises of 10 turns and several dramatic elevation changes, a layout that has produced some exciting flag-to-flag truck series races.

“We are very happy to have the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series back competing at our track,” said Myles Brandt, President and General Manager, CTMP. “The series has produced some of the most thrilling racing we’ve seen here, and we know our fans have been wanting us to bring it back. Our new ownership group headed by Peter Thomson, Chris Pfaff and Alek Krstajic have all been very supportive in our efforts to get the NASCAR trucks back up here.”

“This is all part of continuing to honour our history of having top-notch professional racing here, and giving our awesome community of fans, and event partners, truly first-class events,” added Brandt.

“CTMP is a world-class facility that has produced some memorable NASCAR moments on the Grand Prix Circuit over the years, so we’re proud to bring the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series back to Canada,” said Ben Kennedy, COO, NASCAR. “Canadian race fans continue to show tremendous support for NASCAR, IMSA, and NASCAR Canada Series. Bringing the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series back to CTMP gives us a great opportunity to connect with those fans and build on the history we’ve established at this facility.”

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is the leading racing and automotive performance facility in Canada.
