FREDERICTON, NB – The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour makes its annual visit to Speedway 660 this Saturday evening at 7 p.m. The Atlantic Dodge Dealer’s 100 will highlight a full night of racing in the Geary Woods.
“We are excited about welcoming the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour to our race track because we know they will put on a terrific show for our fans,” said Speedway 660’s Chris Johnston. “The competition on the tour is incredibly fierce this year, there have been five different winners in their first five races and the point standings are really tight, so the Atlantic Dodge Dealer’s 100 will be one of our best races of the year.”
After the first five races of 2012, Antigonish’s Donald Chisholm leads the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour points standings. He has a 7 point lead over second place Darren Mackinnon from Charlottetown. John Flemming from Halifax, Enfield’s Shawn Turple and Kent Vincent from Crapaud, PE, round out the top five. There are only 28 points separating those top five drivers!
“It’s nice to be home this weekend, I always like coming back to Speedway 660 because it’s a fast track and I’ve had some pretty good runs here,” said Fredericton’s Shawn Tucker, a three-time tour champion. “I am hoping a good finish in the Atlantic Dodge Dealer’s 100, in front of the great Speedway 660 fans, will give us an opportunity to make a strong push for a fourth tour title.”
Race fans will also see action in the RV World Street Stock and Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman Divisions. Qualifying heat races get underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. On Saturday, July 14, Speedway 660 hosts a Weekly Points Series Event with racing in five divisions.
