SUN PEAKS, BC (May 3, 2019)- This upcoming NASCAR Pinty’s Series Season will see Sun Peaks, BC driver Jason White back in action once again beginning with the season opening event on May 19that Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. White will drive his #21 Powder Ventures Excavating Dodge in a total of six races this season for Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT).
The second of the two races in Saskatoon at Wyant Group Raceway will mark White’s 100thstart in the series, the longest standing western driver in the series. It’s a milestone he’s eager to achieve and proud to reach.
“I’ve had my eye on that number for a while” said White. “A few years ago it seemed far away but now that it’s getting closer I’m super proud to hitting that mark in this great series”.
Plans are well underway to celebrate and recognize Jason White and his milestone event.
“We’re going to have some fun with it and really get the fans involved, especially western fans,” explained White. “We want to encourage fans to use the hashtag #RaceTo100 as we approach Saskatoon event. We’ll have some cool things to chronicle not just the lead up this season but from past events too”.
White is also excited to be working with CBRT this season as he reaches the 100 race plateau.
“I started talking with Joey a while back and to see all they’ve done over the winter to take their team to the next level is something. Working with Wight Motorsports Inc. to prepare cars, I can’t wait to get on track. I did a quick shakedown of the car at CTMP and man was it fast, I can’t wait to get going in a couple of weeks”.
An experienced voice will be calling the shots for White this season, as veteran racer Larry Jackson will be the crew chief for the #21 Powder Ventures Excavating team.
“Super excited to have Larry along this season” said White. “I’ve always had a lot of respect for him as a competitor and I’m looking forward to working with him as crew chief. He’s one of the most talented racers in Canada,” he added.
Jason White and the #21 Powder Ventures Excavating Dodge team will hit the track for the season opening event of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series during the Victoria Day Speedfest at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, ON, May 19th.
