June 2, 2013 THOROLD, ONTARIO – A late afternoon rain delayed the start of the 2013 Turn 4 Collision Triple Crown Series for Merrittville Speedway’s 4 Cylinder Division one week.

“It couldn’t have come at a worse time,” relates (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “with it coming so late in the afternoon many of our race fans … race teams and staff were probably on their way to the track … or maybe even on the grounds. It’s always a tough call at any time but with reports of storms all around the area and more rain on the way in the evening … it was the only choice we had.”

The first of three Triple Crown Events will now join Baron Roofing and Siding Night June 8th that was already set for a Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Event featuring the opening round of the David Chevrolet King of the Crates Series for the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman Division.

The Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks and J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lites will round out the race card. Grandstands open at 5:30 with Show Time at 7:00..
