January 23, 2014 THOROLD, ONTARIO – With another drop in temperature and a rise in snow banks upon us – Merrittville Speedway’s Race Fans and Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Teams have to wait just a short 14 more Saturdays for April 26th’s Seaway Mall Spring Sizzler and the start of the Thorold DIRTcar sanctioned facility’s 2014 Season.

Saturday April 26th … See it … Smell it and make your WAY to the Seaway Mall Spring Sizzler featuring the Patriot Sprint Tour … the Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds and the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman.

Pit Gates open at 3 PM with the Great Clips Grandstand Ticket Office opening for the first time of the Season at 5:30. Showtime is at 7 PM.

“The Seaway Mall offers the region an unparalleled shopping experience,” reveals (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “and for race fans … April 26th is sure to be an unparalleled racing experience … through the Sprint Cars … to the Modifieds and Sportsman – each race team will be looking to kick off their seasons with exciting action!”

“Until the Spring Sizzler and before that our Annual Race Car Show,” reveals Seaway Mall’s Mike Belcastro, “race fans and teams alike looking to avoid the winter blues can check out our annual Winter Sidewalk Sale until this Sunday to grab some post Holiday Deals.”

With the Winter Sidewalk Sale closing the month of January it won’t be long until the Spring Sizzler picks up speed when race cars from all 5 Divisions go on display the first week of April (March 31st to April 5th) at the Seaway Mall including  the Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds, Rick’s Delivery Sportsman, Hoosier Stocks, J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lites and Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders.
