When it was announced that B&C Truck Centre would be joined by Blast Entertainment to present Merrittville Speedway’s 2012 Championship Chase on Saturday May 5th – you had to know that the first 5 Division Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Event would be over the top!

If you attended Merrittville Speedway’s 60th Anniversary Awards Night last October you have to know that Blast Entertainment and P.M. Lighting also call Stratford home.
“With Blast Entertainment and PM Lighting officially closing out last season,” revealed (Merrittville Speedway GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “it’s only fitting that they join B&C Truck Centre to kick off another … their professionalism and creativity can put any event over the top!.”
Race fans from the Thorold facility are in for a thrilling event if the on track excitement from the Spring Sizzler is any indication. From May 5th’s action one driver will be announced prior to May 12th’s event as the B&C Truck Centre Mack Canada Driver of the Week – an awards program that will follow each event where all 5 Divisions are part of the show.
“Week in and week out during the season we look forward to greeting each Driver of the Week” anticipates (B&C Truck Centre’s) Terry Huffman, “we’re race fans and we look forward to entertaining our customers and staff!”
The Blast Entertainment, B&C Truck Centre & Mack Canada Event Saturday May 5th finds the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinders and J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lites in their first races of the season – joining the Hoosier Stocks, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman and Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modifieds who got their start in the Spring Sizzler the previous week.
When the Grandstand Gates open at 5:30 – all Students 18 years of age and under will be admitted for just $5. The first Saturday Night of May is also the first MT Bellies BIG Food BIG Fun Night of the season with 2 Adults and 2 Children 16 years of age or younger can purchase a Family Pack for just $40.00 which includes 4 Pepsi and 4 Popcorn.
