(March 6, 2017) Ayr, ON – Adam Martin set the bar high in 2016 scoring a pair of top-five finishes in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. The racer from Ayr, Ontario, will contest the entire schedule in 2017 chasing the Rookie of the Year championship.
“We are excited for this race season,” said Martin. “I’m racing with the best drivers in the country, but it’s motivating. When you have a good night against these drivers it’s a great feeling.”
Martin brings primary sponsorship from Johnsonville Sausage again this year with additional support from Olivier’s Candies and Chocolates, Candy Tree Gourmet Lollipops, Reser’s Fine Foods, Secure Drive, STIHL Timbersports, Little Potato Company and Legacy Auto Leasing.

Martin’s first appearance of the year will be the Motorama Custom Car Show at the International Centre in Toronto this weekend where the new car will be displayed in the Johnsonville Sausage booth. He will be on hand March 11th and 12th to greet the fans.
The racing season begins on the May long weekend at the famed Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. From there the series crosses the country with a 13-race schedule. Martin is optimistic about his chances after turning heads with a pair of fourth place finishes last year.
“I expected to run well at my home track Sunset Speedway last year,” said Martin. “A fourth place finish was a huge boost to our confidence. When we went to Quebec and finished fourth again later in the season it really showed that we have the right people in the right places to take on the full schedule.”
