(BEDFORD, NS – June 30th, 2020) – The Maritime League of Legends Tour Board of Directors, led by President Jason Foster, has announced the cancelation of a formal 2020 championship racing season for the Maritime League of Legends Tour.

The cancelation is due to current COVID-19 restrictions in both Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, limiting outdoor gathering numbers for sporting venues like oval tracks. With half of the season currently lost or in jeopardy of being canceled, after talking with host venues, the Series has had no choice but to pull the plug on all remaining sanctioned point racing scheduled for the Tour.

With race tracks beginning to open up and restrictions beginning to loosen across the region, the Maritime League of Legends Tour Board of Directors urges those teams that are able to race to support their local short tracks. The Tour is looking forward to seeing all of their teams, fans and marketing partners in 2021 and reminds everyone to stay safe during these uncertain times.

About The Maritime League of Legends:
The Maritime League of Legends Association was formed in 2005 by a group of racer’s wanting to grow the Legends Cars division in the Maritime Provinces of Canada. During its traditional ten race schedule, the Maritime League of Legends Tour visits five venues throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
