TROIS-RIVIERES, QC – WeatherTech Canada and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin are excited to announce the renewal of their partnership for two additional years in the NASCAR Pinty’s series.
Their mutual passion for racing led to the start of their business relationship in 2012, which will now continue to allow the #47 Dodge WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare driver to once again showcase his talents in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
WeatherTech Canada is pleased to announce their continuing partnership with Dumoulin Competition.
“The quest for excellence runs deep within LP and the entire Dumoulin Competition team, and it is that quest that strikes at the heart of our commitment to design, develop and deliver the ultimate in automotive accessories”, say business owners, Tony Page and Joe Magri.
2018 will mark the seventh complete season alongside our major partner, WeatherTech Canada. It goes without saying that this kind of win-win relationship is very rare in the world of Canadian motorsports, and it has been a successful one from the start.
“I am privileged for having completed five seasons with WeatherTech Canada, and am aware of the exceptional quality of this partner, as well as Groupe Bellemare, that have been present from the start. The best way to thank them is to rack up victories and do everything in our power to win the championship”, shares an enthused Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
It’s been one lap after another for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin since he’s won the rookie of the year title in 2011, and that of Champion of the NASCAR Canada series in 2014. The Dumoulin Competition race team has also reached several milestones allowing it to prep its own cars internally. Furthermore, the 2015-2016 winter has been dedicated to building the team, recruiting some talent, structuring the logistics, and to developing the knowledge base of these newcomers. We’ve been able to see the fruits of our labor by adding four podiums and six top-5 appearances since (tied in fourth place in the championship).
“The NASCAR Pinty’s series is very competitive, and I’m more than happy to have the opportunity to fight on-track against talented drivers and teams in 2017 and 2018. By November 2016, we knew we’d reach an agreement with WeatherTech Canada. Having founded our very own prep team has allowed us to build a secure strategy in the medium term”, explains the 2014 champion of the NASCAR Canada series.
Trials at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP)
Determination and enthusiasm were certainly present on May 3rd, during the first official trials of the NASCAR Pinty’s series. “Throughout the winter, the mechanics team has capitalized on the learnings of the 2016 season and the results have been encouraging. We’ll be even stronger this year”, mentions a determined Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
On May 21st, this very track will be the host to the first race of the 2017 season for the Victoria Day Speedfest (Can-Am 200 race at 1:00 PM). A circuit synonymous with victory for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, who is certainly gearing up for another stand-out performance at the wheel of the #47 WeatherTech Canada/ Groupe Bellemare.
