CAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO (March 26, 2015) – Lowdown Hot Rods will be increasing their presence in the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series in 2015 by sponsoring both the 4th Annual Season Opener race in June as well as continuing to be the Presenting sponsor of the Quick 16 during the upcoming summer.

With the additional support from Lowdown Hot Rods, Ontario and New York’s Fast Bracket Racers will able to compete in a traditional Quick 16 program, where the winner will take home an $1100 cash purse (with a minimum of 15 cars), and top points contenders will be vying for a share of the $4000 Year-End Championship Cash/Prizes Purse.

Lowdown Hot Rod’s owners Tom and Linda VanDerGeld are very familiar with the Fast bracket/Heads-Up Drag Racing world as Lowdown Hot Rods have worked on and built some of Ontario’s fastest Bracket and Pro Modified cars over the years, making them more than just a standard Hot Rod Shop. In addition the VanDerGeld Family campaigns two Quick 16/Top Dragster set-ups driven by their son’s Austin and Brody, both of whom will be chasing the HeadsUpRacer.com Quick 16 presented by Low Down Hot Rods Class Championship in 2015.

“We are extremely excited to have Tom and Linda from Lowdown Hot Rods not only re-sign as the presenting sponsor to our Quick 16 class, but also step up to sponsor our first event of the season in 2015” stated series Director Andrew Stirk. “Its support from great companies like Lowdown and families like the Vandergelds that make the DSE Sportsman Series as successful as it is and we truly appreciate their involvement and participation” Stirk would add.

The first Event for Quick 16 racers as well as all the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series competitors will be the 4th Annual Lowdown Hot Rods Season Opener, which takes place June 6 -7 at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park.

The DSE Sportsman Racing Series boasts a (to date) $17,000 Year end points fund, and features a point’s structure where racers claim their best 8 out of 10 point’s races during the season. For more information on the Series and its Marketing Partners, please visit www.SportsmanRacingSeries.ca .
