TORONTO, ON // MARCH 5, 2019 • Lou Santiago, the energetic co-host of Discovery Velocity’s The Car Fix, is returning to the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo in a familiar setting… the Lincoln Electric display (Booth #6202 in Hall 2). At the show, he’ll be surrounded by an impressive assortment of welding and fabricating products which he’ll use to demonstrate his talents and share some secrets.

Motorama takes place March 8, 9 & 10 at The International Centre, across from Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

“I’m a second-generation Lincoln Electric guy,” said Santiago. “My dad was an iron worker and ‘Lincoln’ was what he preferred to use. I use Lincoln Electric products on The Car Fix show and in the restoration classes I teach at my local community college. Lincoln Electric has been really, really good to me and I feel confident using and promoting their products.”

Among the many Lincoln Electric products that Santiago will have at his disposal at the Motorama show will be a pair of newly introduced Lincoln Electric Welders.

Perfectly suited for light industrial shop fabrication and repair applications is the standard-setting Power MIG® 260 welder. A wire-feed welder, the Power MIG 260 incorporates simplified usage technology into its compact package. Its assets include Lincoln’s Ready.Set.Weld ® Quick set up, Automatic Settings to provide optimal weld parameters and ArcFX™ Technology enabling the user to visualize their weld.

Also cued up for its Canadian launch at the Motorama show is the Ranger® 330MPX™ welder-generator.

An engine-powered welder designed with the professional pipeline, contractor and service truck users in mind, this new product is 25% lighter than similar machines in its class and boasts new technology that will improve weld performance and productivity.

It’s also 60% quieter than other welders, making for a more comfortable and safer workplace. This modern machine leads the way for job site innovation with a digital user interface and clean AC generator power. The Lincoln Electric booth will be staffed, throughout the show, by the company’s product experts.

Aside from getting an opportunity to test out and demonstrate the latest Lincoln Electric offerings, Santiago, a former Navy SeaBee, is excited – for several additional reasons – to be returning to the Toronto Motorama show for the second year in a row. Lou loves engaging with his fans and fellow auto enthusiasts and checking out the incredible vehicles at the show.

“There are some truly great quality cars here; I love seeing what these builders come up with each year. And the show visitors are as knowledgeable as any I’ve ever run into. They ask great questions, and they’re willing to listen to suggestions and advice. There are so many cars out there just waiting to be built and I don’t have the time to build them all. I’m not afraid to tell anyone all of my secrets and tricks, just to keep the car hobby thriving.”

When not engaging with Motorama show visitors in the Lincoln Electric booth (10 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday, and 2 – 4 p.m. on all three days of the show), Santiago will participate in several on-stage discussions and awards presentations on the Rust-Oleum Stage.

Scott Stanley, Canadian Marketing Manager for Lincoln Electric said this about Santiago. “People love Lou. He brings an energy and an evident passion to everything he does, and we’re thrilled to have him join us at Motorama again this year. As an experienced welder, car builder and instructor, we could think of no one better suited to demonstrate our products than Lou Santiago.”
