TORONTO, ON – Logan Cusson Racing (LCR) announces it has partnered with Brian Graham Racing (BGR) to propel Logan into the next stage of his professional racing career.
With BGR in his corner, Logan will start racing both the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship and La Formule F1600 Series in Ontario and Quebec, respectively.
With a goal of being a leading IndyCar driver, this important first step for Logan and LCR was made possible through the partnership with BGR.
This announcement is being made at the Toronto Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo at the International Centre in Toronto March 9-11, 2018. LCR is proud to present its F1600 BGR Piper Race Car and livery in the Canadian Automobile Sports Club (CASC) booth. Logan Cusson will also be on hand to meet with fans and talk racing.
LCR was founded by Logan Cusson to turn his dream of racing in the Indy 500 into reality. Team Manager, David Cusson, is “proud that [his] son has taken steps to ensure success by engaging a team of professionals to develop his career aspirations.”
David, CEO of Echelon Wealth Partners, one of the largest independent wealth management and capital markets firms in Canada is well-rehearsed in driving performance for success. While David focuses on the team, Logan will put his mantra to the test; ‘Never Stop Pushing.’
“I realized early in my career that if I was going to make it as a professional race car driver, I would need a lot of help from other experts. I need to focus on my body and mind, while the team focuses on management, marketing and coaching,” said Logan Cusson.
“An essential part of that professional team is Brian Graham. BGR is the reigning Toyo Tires F1600 Champion accomplished by well-known driver Ben Hurst, while BGR’s Roman De Angelis was Vice Champion in La Formule F1600 Series in 2017, adding to a long list of distinguished alumni and accolades for the team.
BGR’s Brian Graham said, “Training drivers is a passion for me, especially since I was once a championship driver myself. IndyCar fans will recognize other alumni such as Spencer Pigot, Joseph Newgarden and Conor Daly. Being able to help develop these drivers into world-class competitors is always the goal at BGR.”
LCR will be competing in both Formula 1600 championship series in Ontario and Quebec under BGR’s mentorship. The two series comprise ten race event weekends across various tracks in both provinces.
Logan is looking forward to competing in all 29 races, as both series pair-up on certain weekends. An especially exciting weekend will be participating in Canada’s only F1 race event, in Montreal, where the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship series will also be holding races. Check out LCR’s website for Logan’s full racing schedule.
