@riceracingTO • @CTCCracing •Toronto, ON (July 20, 2016)- – Lindsay Rice will now be competing within Canada’s only professional level racing series, the Canadian Touring Car Championship.
On August 12-14 Lindsay will be taking to the city streets of Three Rivers, Quebec to compete with the talented Canadian Touring Car field during the famous Grand Prix Trois-Rivières race weekend.
Lindsay, rookie to the Canadian Touring Car Championship series and competitive driver of the #18 Porsche 911, will bring experience from GT sprint and GT challenge endurance racing to help her succeed in Rounds 10 & 11 of the season.

Lindsay Rice speaks out about the news, “It has been a goal of mine to race with the CTCC drivers. I admire the series, and I am looking forward to running with some of Canada’s top drivers. This is a really huge step for me and my driving. I could not be more grateful for my sponsors and for the work that my team has put into my racing!”

The GP3R weekend brings in over more than 80,000 spectators who flock to the small town in Quebec to watch drivers compete. The first race for CTCC will take place on Friday, August 12 at 8:30PM, with the winners crossing the finish line just after dusk. Holding promise of strong, tough, and professional driving, the CTCC series will allow for Lindsay Rice put her driving to the test on a track she hasn’t raced on before.

Earlier this season, Lindsay placed herself on the GT3 class podium multiple times with Rice Racing. Lindsay has been competing in GT class races within CASC Regional Racing, and is currently sitting third place in the overall GT3 class Race Ontario Championship. With the help of her professional support team Bestline Auto Tech, and three-time Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada Platinum Masters Champion coach Marco Cirone, she has been able to stay on the podium for all races she has competed in with the team.

“My team is amazing. They have been with me since day one, and they have provided me with a winning car every time I get behind the wheel. They treat this sport with the attention and care it requires. We are always learning, changing, adjusting, and adapting to what’s needed by the car on that day, on that hour. They just never miss a beat.” says driver Lindsay Rice.

Lindsay’s coach, Marco Cirone, talks about the amateur driver. “We are very excited to have Lindsay Rice join the Canadian Touring Car Championship. Lindsay has shown a very quick learning curve as demonstrated in her first race at CTMP, where she battled the worst possible conditions ranging from heavy rain, wet snow, and cold temperatures. It was very impressive to see her car control skills for the duration of the race and bring her 911 home to a second place podium finish. The team and I know she will be extremely competitive in CTCC and we can’t wait for her to show her talents at Trois Rivieres. She will undoubtedly be the driver to watch in the GT class.”
