OAKVILLE, ON (May 16, 2022)- Larry Jackson and the #84 O’Neil Electric Dodge started out fast and furious putting down some excellent laps on track. Jackson and the team were looking to start off the season with a stellar car in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series at Sunset Speedway this past weekend.

Jackson had a solid practice session with the eighth quickest car followed by a seventh-place qualifying time putting him on the inside of row FOUR for the start of The NTN Ultimate Bearing Experience 150.

The #84 O’Neil Electric Dodge team started off strong and fast but suffered from mechanical and electrical issues putting an early end to their night on lap 162. A stone managed to break a fitting on the cars brake calliper, which led to Jackson putting significant wear on the front brakes. Thus, followed by an issue with the battery and alternator losing power led to his retire.

Jackson ran at a very comfortable pace in a great car and is ready to fix up and get back on track next weekend.

Larry Jackson Quotes:
“Just one of those fluky things, we had a stone, or something cut a rear brake calliper, I was using up the front brakes because of it”.
“The battery and the alternator issue resulted and that cut our night short. Had a great car, wasn’t pushing at all, definitely would have had a top ten finish”.
