Apr 12th 2012 – Kumho Tire USA, Inc., one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers, is happy to announce that it has signed on as the presenting sponsor for ESPN Dallas’ fourth annual youth soccer tournament, the Copa ESPN 2012. Spanning the course of three days, consisting of 72 teams and more than 1,000 of the best youth soccer players, the highly anticipated Copa ESPN 2012 is expected to draw thousands of spectators from across Texas and beyond. Funds and in-kind sponsorships comprise the presenting sponsor designation. Kumho Tire USA decided to make the contribution to Copa ESPN 2012 as it benefits an event that highlights some of the country’s top young athletes, and also sends a message that staying active, such as the talented players do every day, is of the utmost importance for the community’s younger generations. To show their involvement, Kumho Tire USA is inviting fans of all ages to interact with the company on site to meet players and the Kumho Girls, receive giveaway items and more.

The kids playing in the Copa ESPN could very well be the next big name soccer superstars in just a few years.”
Copa ESPN is now one of Dallas-Ft. Worth’s most anticipated youth soccer tournaments. The
three-day event will feature the area’s best recreational and select teams at the McInnish Soccer Complex in Carrollton, Texas. The invitation-only event for players will consist of 72 teams with more than 1,000 players in six age categories (under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18). At the end of the tournament, Copa ESPN will send the championship team from the under 14 category to Orlando, Fla. for the Disney Cup International taking place July 16 to July 21.

In addition, fans can anticipate special player appearances by Darren Woodson, Nate Newton, Drew Pearson and other former Dallas Cowboy (American) football greats, as well as current players and dancers from the Dallas Mavericks.
