ST-EUSTACHE, QC (July 12, 2017)– With only a few days between the ICAR race and the Toronto Indy, Kevin Lacroix is ready to defend his first position in the NASCAR Pinty’s series championship. Strong from his victory during the ECKO Unlimited 75 last Saturday, Kevin now has a five point leading gap in the driver’s championship.
The Toronto circuit is one of the greatest, according to the driver of the #74 Bumper To Bumper/ Total/ Go Fast / PFC Brakes/ Gates Corporation car.
“I really like this kind of urban track, like the Trois-Rivières (QC) one. The Toronto Indy has a great layout that has a few fast and technical corners and interesting breaking zones. The walls definitely bring a challenge to the drivers, and the bumpy road makes for a great show” says the driver.
The NASCAR Pinty’s race will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 3:45pm at the Toronto Exhibition Place. This year will mark the 31st anniversary of this race in the streets of Toronto. This 1.75-mile layout is one of Canada’s treasured motorsport activity.
It is only since 2016 that the Canadian NASCAR series is back on this urban track. Last year, Kevin Lacroix had taken the lead of the race as soon as the first lap, only to finish on the third step of the podium. This time, he will try to gain his third win of the season.
Kevin wants to thank his sponsors Bumper to Bumper, Total, Go Fast, PFC Brakes and Gates Corporation, a partnership between growing companies that represent excellence, ambition and victory.
“We are leading the championship, and we are going to Toronto to keep that first place.”
