Stroud, ON (July 05, 2017)- After having everything go the way he wanted last weekend, the luck didn’t stick for the JL Motorsports representative this past Saturday at Sunset Speedway with a pair of finishes outside of the top-10.
Qualifying in the 15th position for the first 35-lap feature, he would catch a piece of the first lap incident down the backstretch, spinning around going into turn three. Fortunately, he was able to escape without much damage.
Restarting in the back half of the field, he would make up some ground to run 11th as of Lap 25. However, in the last couple of laps, he would lose two spots to cross the finish line in the 13th position.
Starting 13th for the second feature, he avoided an incident between Nick Goetz and Ernie Fumerton to move up two positions to run 11th with 26 laps to go. He then avoided another incident on the restart to move up another spot. Restarting just inside of the top-10, he would move up to ninth with 16 laps to go, though ultimately fell back four positions to cross the finish line in 13th once again.
Jordan Latimer will return to Sunset Speedway on July 8 in hopes of scoring his seventh top-10 of the season.
