GRIMSBY, ON- NASCAR Canadian Tire Series veteran Jeff Lapcevich will return to action this weekend, when the cross-country tour hits Circuit ICAR for Round 4 of the 2015 season.
Lapcevich will hope to rely on his road course prowess, as he aims to tackle the technically challenging 14-turn road course.
“It’s not an easy place to get around,” explains Lapcevich when asked about the facility.
“We’ve had some really good speed there and a lot of tough luck. We started on the front row two years ago and broke a rear suspension piece while running in the front”
“Last year we had everything go wrong that could,” continues the veteran. “This year we’re going with a little something different that’s got me pretty excited. I think we should be pretty racey”
The Grimsby, ON driver’s appearance at the Ecko Unlimited 100 will mark his first start with the series since registering a runner-up finish in the season opener at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel,” says Lapcevich. “We had an awesome car at [CTMP] and would love nothing more than to build on that performance this weekend”
“I have all the confidence in the world in our road course program,” continues the well-spoken veteran. “The guys at the shop have been working hard on our stuff, and I’m excited to see where we stack up against some of the best road course racers in the country.”
