PARKER THOMPSON: “I know I speak for the entire JDX Racing crew when I say that we all want and expect more out of ourselves than what we delivered in Watkins Glen. Unfortunately there was a few circumstances that could have fell our way and they didn’t. Overall we lacked pace on the race weekend that led to our eventual 6th and 7th place finishes. I intend on using that as fire to get back to where we belong, at the front of the grid. I can’t thank Byers Porsche, Porsche Canada, Renier Construction, SSi Artificial Lift and Surgere enough for their support.”

SEAN McALISTER: “We came off of a great couple days of testing and getting the car set up right to have totally opposite weather conditions on race weekend, which sort of threw what we worked on in testing out the window. Qualifying was really tight and the top 9 were within .8 or .9 seconds, which I was the tail end of. Race 1 I was struggling with the car, I had 2 spins and very light damage to the rear end of the car. Thankfully it was just cosmetic damage and I was able to bring the car back in one piece. Race 2 we figured the setup out and it was a much easier car to drive, not too much happened in the race on my end but a small battle that I unfortunately lost and placed P9. Most of all the weekend was fun and packed with learning experiences, I was able to learn a lot about keeping myself calm and collected rather than frustrated with misfortunes that happen. It was great to have the Byers group out enjoying the racing and it was nice to feel like things are getting back to normal.”

JEREMY DALE, MANAGING PARTNER/JDX RACING: “There’s no other way to describe our weekend at Watkins Glen than disappointing. We had a very solid test last week and came into the race weekend feeling a high level of confidence that we would be fighting for podiums, however the results just didn’t come. The series continues to get more and more competitive and we just need to step up our game. Every member of our team feels the same and understands there’s a lot of work to do-simple as that. We have a couple weeks to have a hard look at where we went wrong and understand where we need to focus for our upcoming test at Road America.”
