Vernon, BC. July 14, 2013. Jason White worked hard to give his home crowd an exciting race to watch at Sunday’s A&W Cruisin’ The Dub 300 at Motoplex Speedway & Event Park.
White started off the day full of energy, excited to cruise the track alongside his brother Jim in front of their hometown crowd in British Columbia.
The team put extra elbow grease into the #21 Bowers & Wilkins Dodge during practice, giving them confidence heading into the day’s qualifying laps. White secured an 8th place qualifying time.
“We had a really good qualifying time, it really got me excited for the race,” White said afterwards.
Once the main event kicked off, #21 looked to settle into a rhythm but handling issues of his Bowers & Wilkins Dodge were working against him. Despite the vehicle issues, the team hustled their way through pit stops and worked diligently. White did his best to muscle his way through the race and maintain pace with the rest of the field.
The #21 held on, eventually crossing the finish line in 13th place.
“We battled hard all night but were missing something,” White explained. “I’m super proud of my brother who scored a podium finish. It’s always fun to race against him.”
Including today’s results, Jason White sits in 8th place overall with 153 points.
