@Sunset_Speedway • Stroud, ON (June 15, 2016)- After finishing out his rookie season strong, Jade Franklin has carried the momentum over to this year as he posted his fourth straight top-10 finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
The teenager started off the night by finishing second in his heat, followed by a fourth place finish in the Fast Qualifier’s Dash.
The re-draw for the feature didn’t go as well as hoped as Franklin pulled 12. He’d begin making ground immediately, though, cracking the top-10 at Lap 6. He’d then move up two spots, passing Paul Allard and Miles Tyson to move up to eighth with 19 laps to go.
Franklin looked to get the seventh spot from Brandon McFerran at Lap 22, however was unable to complete the pass before the caution flew for an incident.
On the restart, he was able to complete the pass, crossing the finish line with a seventh place finish.
