@franklin.jade • @Sunset_Speedway •Stroud, ON (November 19, 2016)- Following a successful season of racing, Jade Franklin and the Jaded Motorsports team attended the 2016 Sunset Speedway Banquet this past weekend.

Franklin’s great year of results was awarded, as he took home a plaque for finishing fifth in the St. Onge Recreational Super Stock standings, as well as the “Most Improved Driver” Award.

After posting just one top-10 finish in 2015 as part of his rookie campaign, Franklin came back stronger than ever in his sophomore season. He finished fifth in the final points standings with four feature top-fives, 11 feature top-10s and nine heat top-fives in 12 events.

“I think it went really great,” Franklin commented on the Thursday prior to the Autumn Colours Classic weekend. “I was hoping for a top-five points, which I got. I was hoping for a feature win – didn’t get that, but came close. We’ll come back next season and go at it.”

The teenager was able to his feature win, scoring the victory in the b-main feature to qualify for the Autumn Colours Classic. After having to restart at the tail of the field due to an early flat tire, he made his way through the field, taking the lead at Lap 11. From there on, there was no looking back as he cruised the rest of the way en route to the victory.

Jaded Motorsports is supported by Destination RV, Nitro Industrial Sales, Duivenvoorden Haulage Ltd, Adco Tires and Sales Incorporated, Stefco Racing Engines, King, North River Motorsports and Discovery Dream Homes this season.
