DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Jean-Francois Dumoulin was at the wheel of the #72 Porsche of Park Place Motorsports today at Daytona International Speedway. Thirtieth in the GT category during qualifying, the two time champion of the 24 Hours at Daytona (2004 and 2007), will take part in this 51st Rolex 24 at Daytona edition on Saturday at 3:30 pm.

Jean-Francois Dumoulin took advantage of the time spent on the track to familiarize himself with the car.

“I was able to complete one lap during the morning practice session and three laps to prepare the brakes. We continued to make adjustments to the car during the practices. The traffic was dense especially in the middle of the session, and I achieved the fastest time at the end of the qualifying,” explains Dumoulin.

Jean-François Dumoulin and his American teammates Cole Chuck (Maypearl, Texas), Grant Phipps (Wichita, Kansas), Mike Skeen (Charlotte, North Carolina) and Mike Vess (Wichita, Kansas) will share the wheel during this event. The Quebecer will be the first out with the car during tonight’s practice session (until 8 pm).

“The car is coming along, we have made other adjustments for the night practice session and I am eager to see how things will turn out tonight,” mentions the Quebecer.

Rolex 24 race start: Saturday January 26th at 3:30 pm. The race highlights will be diffused on Facebook, Twitter and by e-mail during the weekend.
