(TORONTO, ON • OCTOBER 21, 2019) – On August 31, Inside Track Motorsport News announced it would award a $5,000 sponsorship package, for the 2020 racing season, to a racer who subscribed – or was nominated by another new or renewing subscriber – to the magazine, between that date and 10 a.m. on October 21.
During that time, the program was actively advertised online and onsite at several fall racing specials, by the Inside Track Motorsport News promotional team. This afternoon, a random draw of all the eligible racers who were nominated by subscribers using the promo code RACER took place.
The winner is Kris Lawrence, who recently won the Bone Stock points championship at Delaware Speedway. The second-generation racer also competes in the Pro Late Model class at Delaware and Sauble Speedways.
Lawrence’s prize will include: a cheque for $4,000 cash, a ‘Thank Your Sponsors, Crew, Family & Fans’ ad in Inside Track Motorsport News, a free space for his race car in the Racers’ Corral area at the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo, which takes place March 13, 14 & 15, 2020 at Toronto’s International Centre, and free hotel accommodations for Motorama, at the show’s official host hotel, the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport.
Additionally, Inside Track will award a $500 cash prize to Jake Gilbert, who was nominated a total of seven times by subscribers using the RACER promo code. Gilbert is a full-time Pro Late Model racer at Flamboro Speedway. His seven nominations were the most for any racer.
“On behalf of everyone at Inside Track Motorsport News, we’d like to congratulate Kris Lawrence on winning the $5,000 Inside Track 2020 Sponsorship Package,” said Promotions Manager Lindsey Broad. “We’re very grateful to everyone who subscribed to our magazine using the RACER promo code and our plan is to grow this into an annual program with even more cash and prizes available. And while it wasn’t part of the original announcement, congratulations to Jake Gilbert who was nominated seven times by his supporters.”
