In this episode of Inside Track TV Presented by Pinty’s we chat with Geoffrey Campbell, the Managing Partner of the new Oro Station Automotive Innovation Park. In late August a groundbreaking ceremony took place in Oro-Medonte, approxmately an hour north of the GTA.
The event was attended by Ontario Premier Doug Ford and politicians from the provincial, federal and regional levels of government, as well as representatives from nearby Georgian College and the automotive industry.
When complete, the Oro Station Automotive Innovation Park will be home to a 4.1 km road course integrated into a 500,000 square foot industrial facility / business park.
Forecast to bring 1,800 construction jobs and 700 full-time jobs (when complete), the project will be home to automotive engineering, education, service, supply and manufacturing businesses, as well as club membership facilities.
The track is slated for completion in 2022. Construction of the commercial and industrial buildings will begin in 2021.
Following the ceremonies, we chatted with Oro Station Managing Partner Geoffrey Campbell about the project and his passion for cars and racing.
