In our November 8th update, we continue to sift through some of the best video content we picked up during the Ontario Short Track Playoff Season. This time around, we talk with Matt Pritiko about his phenomenal 2014 campaign, ask Shawn Chenoweth what he has in store for 2015 and capture the moment that Peterborough Speedway champion Ryan Kimball finally made it to Autumn Colours Classic victory lane.
Delaware Speedway Late Model champion Matt Pritiko recently took the time to chat about his incredible 2014 campaign. In addition to his Delaware title, Pritiko was also crowned the Grisdale Triple Crown champion and finished 2nd in the inaugural APC Six Pack Series. ‘The Mastodon’ Shawn Chenoweth (above, by Dan Little) capped off a highlight reel season at Flamboro Speedway’s Frost Fest event on October 18th. We spoke with the veteran moments after he swept the twin-30s event in the Thunder Car division, and he offered his take on 2014 as a whole and gave a preview of what he intends to put together for the 2015 season. If you missed our victory lane interview with first time Autumn Colours Classic winner Flyin’ Ryan Kimball (above, by Ashley McCubbin), here it is. The Norwood, ON veteran – the 2014 Peterborough Speedway Ltd. Late Model champion – dominated the 75-lap LLM feature at the 22nd edition of Ontario’s ‘Crown Jewel’ event. The win came mere hours after a controversial call robbed Kimball of what many felt would have been a sure win in the 114-lap Pro Late Model event. Sunset Speedway up-and-comer Nick Goetz overcame a number of obstacles through the 2014 season. Here’s a previously unreleased interview with ‘Livewire’ after the 2nd round of the lauded Sunset vs. Sauble ‘Home and Home Series’ where Goetz describes his tumultuous campaign and offers up his trademark optimism concerning his Ltd. Late Model program and where he sees his team headed. Click here for the video interview and follow Nick on Twitter @NGMotorsports24.
