2013 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Rookie of the Year Cole Powell has announced his team will make their second career attempt at the prestigious Snowball Derby at 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Powell, a native of Mt. Brydges, ON, will campaign a car for Brad Keselowski Racing, as a teammate to BKR regular Austin Theriault. Powell will test the Hamke chassis at 5 Flags with noted crew chief Gary Crooks in the coming weeks, before Cole’s father Todd Powell takes over Crew Chief duties for the team’s efforts during the December 4th – 8th event.
