Here’s our first look at OSCAAR Super Late Model Rookie of the Year contender Sean Grosman’s ride for the 2015 season. The former Ltd. Late Model feature winner will race fulltime with the cross-province tour in 2015, in a newly purchased FLF Chassis. Crew Chief duties will be handled by Grosman’s longtime friend – and occasional teammate – Ryan Kimball, with the car being prepared in Norwood, ON at Ryan Kimball Motorsports. Marketing support for ‘The Frequent Flyer’s 2015 season will be provided by The Landing Strip Gentleman’s Club of Toronto, Flagship Properties, For Your Eyes Only, Rylex Glass & Mirror, SMG Motorsports. Fans can follow Grosman all season long at his official SMG Motorsports page on Facebook, or on Twitter @SMGMotorsports. Grosman – alongside the rest of the OSCAAR Super Late Model Tour – will begin his 2015 campaign at Sunset Speedway on May 16th.
Fresh off of his 2014 Sauble Speedway Ltd. Late Model championship, ‘The New Age Punisher’ Jason Parker (above, by Dan Little) has focused his efforts on competing fulltime with the APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdales in 2015. The Port Elgin, ON driver will revert back to a full Pro Late Model schedule for the first time since 2010 when he logged a full season of competition at Delaware Speedway. Parker recently took part in the United Late Model Series panel at the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports expo, offering his thoughts on the upstart tour. Afterwards, we grabbed a word with the fan-favourite and asked his thoughts heading into 2015. London Recreational Racing’s Shawn Chenoweth put the finishing touches on his OSCAAR Super Late Model this week. ‘The Mastodon’ unveiled his ambitious schedule at last week’s Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo, detailing a plan to compete fulltime with both the OSCAAR Super Late Model Tour and APC United Late Model Series in addition to sporadic appearances in the Flamboro Speedway Thunder Car division. With his Super Late Model now race ready, Chenoweth will begin his final preparations on his Paul Law-owned Pro Late Model in advance of the APC Tour’s May 23rd season opener. Fans can stay up to date with all of Shawn’s progress at the official Shawn Chenoweth Racing page on Facebook.
Former Mini Stock standout Billy Schwartzenburg released photos of his brand new Pro Late Model this afternoon. The Guelph, ON driver – a former Sauble Speeday champion – will drive for longtime car owner and mentor Ken Spira in the upstart APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdales. In addition to his Pro Late Model commitments, Schwartzenburg will return for a partial schedule in his Team Spira Ford Mustang.
