In the June 7th edition of Spencer Lewis’ Short Track Notebook, we talk with Sauble Speedway championship contender Jason Parker, Ltd. Late Model veteran Amanda Connolly and Mini Stock Nationals winner Andy Kamrath before we fly around Kawartha Speedway with 15-year old Mini Stock standout Brandon McFerran.
We recently caught up with former Sauble Speedway champion Jason Parker, and asked about his plans for the 2014 season. The Port Elgin, ON driver opened up his season with a victory at Sauble on May 17th, and details his plans for a second division championship this year. ‘The New Age Punisher’ also takes time to chat about his brand new McColl Racing Enterprises chassis, his battles with Scott McTeer and his recent efforts at Sunset Speedway. ‘The Astronaut’ Brandon McFerran (above, by Thompson Photography) has sent along the on-board camera footage of his recent outing at Kawartha Speedway’s Mini Stock Nationals. The Acton, ON driver – in his first visit to Kawartha – took down top qualifier honours, before finishing 6th in the feature event whilst paired against the elite of the Mini Stock division. ‘The Instant Classic’ Andy Kamrath (above, by Dan Little) dominated June 1st’s Mini Stock Nationals event at Kawartha Speedway, leading over 25 of 30 laps for his first career Kawartha Mini Stock triumph.
