Second-generation star Branden Verhoeven swept both ends of Friday’s Super Stock twin feature event, in Round 1 of the APC Six Pack Series, pitting Delaware Speedway regulars against their Flamboro counterparts. We caught up post-race with the 17-year old, and asked about his breakout performance, his frequent battles with fellow rising star Shae Gemmell and his plans for his sophomore campaign at Delaware. Dorchester, Ontario’s Shae Gemmell (above, by Thompson Photography) earned runner-up honours in the twin Super Stock event at Delaware on June 20th. We chatted with Gemmell post-race about the latest chapter in his friendly rivalry with Verhoeven, the APC Six Pack Series’ next round at Flamboro Speedway on June 28th and his take on the mini-series pitting Delaware vs. Flamboro. Rising star Scott Simmons (above, by Thompson Photography) has had an impressive year thus far in Flamboro Speedway’s Mini Stock division. Otterville, Ontario driver Rick Verberne (above, by Debbie-Jo Zardo) turned in a second place finish and had his on-board camera recording from start to finish.
