2-time Kawartha Speedway Thunder Car champion ‘Fast Time’ Willie Reyns has announced he will follow the APC United Late Model Series presented by Grisdale Racing Products in 2015. The Baltimore, ON-based driver has purchased a rolling chassis and is currently working to have it ready for May 10th’s open test session at Sunset Speedway. Reyns joins a laundry list of elite-level talent on the tour, including 2014 Sauble Speedway champion Jason Parker, 2013 Sunset Speedway champion Mike Bentley and 2-time Autumn Colours Classic winner Dwayne Baker among others. Reyns will work extensively with longtime friend – and fellow tour driver – Dan McHattie to ready his ride for the 2015 campaign. Marketing support for the season will come from Cobourg Development Services, Don Stacey Electric, Appleman Carstar, Pursey’s Yacht Portage and Mercer Built Construction. Here’s our first look at Farm Bros. Racing’s entry for the 2015 Ontario Modified Racing Series season. Team members ‘Straightpipe’ Ryan Babin and Chris Mulders will split the ride on the tour, with 11 dates split between Peterborough Speedway and Flamboro Speedway. The pair – both former Mini Stock standouts – will look to chase down the OMRS ‘Rookie of the Year’ title. Their 2015 campaign is made possible thanks to the support of Roy Nichols Chevrolet of Courtice, N.A.S.C. Hockey of Oshawa, M.R. Automotive, Cooper fuels, Link Greenhouses, ATD Automotive, Action promotions and CN Produce. The 2015 OMRS season opens on May 2nd at Flamboro Speedway for the ‘Spring Shakedown Invitational’.
Full Throttle Motor Speedway sophomore Travis McLean has sent along this sneak peek at his ride for the 2015 season. The Conn, ON driver will look for his first career Mini Stock feature win this season, in a veteran-heavy FTMS division that also includes Tim Tolton and Nick Clarke. In addition to his weekly commitments at Full Throttle, the 13-year old has confirmed he will also maintain a province-wide travelling schedule, commencing with Sunset Speedway’s ‘Spring Velocity’ event on May 16th and 17th. Marketing support for Travis’ sophomore campaign is provided by Infinity Eavestrough, Extreme Graphics, McLean Farms, McLean Industrial and Derek McLean Trucking.
