BOWMANVILLE, ON (September 6, 2022) The MBS Motorsports #31 Chevrolet team returned to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) this past weekend, optimistic for more success during their initial season of competition in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.
While equaling the finishing result from the first race at CTMP earlier in the season, once again it was a frustrating event for driver Daniel Bois and the team.
All signs were positive during practice during the Saturday practice session and Bois would qualify the #31 Chevrolet in tenth position that afternoon. When the green flag waved for the WeatherTech 200 on Sunday, it quickly felt like the team couldn’t catch a break.
Not once, but twice Bois suffered contact and got turned around in the #31 machine. In addition, the MBS pit crew were only able to change two tires instead of the planned four during a caution period and that created some additional handling issues for the driver.
Through it all, the resilience of the #31 MBS Motorsports team never wavered and Bois was able to use his skill to fight back for a 12th place finish at the conclusion of the race.
Quotes:
“This is one of those days where you look back and just shrug your shoulders. We’re happy to see another pretty good result but also disappointed because we know with a little break it could have been even better, we had a top-ten car today for sure, but that’s racing”.
“I want to say a big thank you to our ownership group, Don, Jeff & Dominic. And our crew chief Jay. Starting a new team is a huge undertaking and everyone that’s part of this team contributes to make us better. We were competitive right from the start of the year, that says something about the group”.
“We are working on some plans for the future, there are some details to finalize, but we hope to have some news to announce soon”.
-Daniel Bois, Driver #31 MBS Motorsports Chevrolet
