Humberstone Speedway does not drop the green flag on the 2012 season until May 4, but several drivers from the 4/10-mile clay oval are getting the jump on the season with a six-car presentation at Welland, ON’s Seaway Mall from April 2 to mall closing on April 8.
The vehicles that will be on display represent each of the Speedway’s six racing divisions, the Fastrak Late Models, plus the Sportsman, Street Stock, Pro 4 Trucks, Mini Stock and Pure Stock classes.
Anxious to get these racecars into their on-track element, General Manager Bob Davidson is optimistic about the upcoming season.
“2012 is looking very promising in the way of car count for our divisions. Our racers seem to prefer racing locally than doing any major traveling.”
The Seaway Mall is located in the heart of Niagara in Welland’s Shopping District on Niagara Street. Mall hours are Monday-Friday 10:00am to 9:00, Saturday 9:30am to 5:30 pm, and Sunday noon to 5:30 pm.
