PORT COLBORNE, ONTARIO (August 1, 2021) The Pinty’s All Canadian Weekend will conclude with a special Monday night showdown featuring the Rick’s Delivery Modifieds, Stirling Lubricants/Champion Racing Oil Sportsman, GR Enviro Rail Street Stocks and the Dow Auto Supply Mini Stocks are all racing for big money.
Pit gates open at 3:30 pm with grandstands opening at 4:30 pm.
Promoter Terry Vince postponed the event originally scheduled for today, but with a promising forecast and a huge crowd on hand he made the difficult decision to reschedule for Monday. “I couldn’t be happier with the support we have received this weekend,” said Vince. “I want to carry this momentum with four big divisions that helped build the history of this racetrack. “Teams are here from all over the province, and we are going to complete the show with a special Monday night finale.”
Vince added a few more keynotes to statement today. The purses for the event are guaranteed. Sportsman teams wanting to also compete in the Modified portion of the event are welcome to do so, but Sportsman drivers must simply pay two driver admission fees to the pits to race with the Modifieds as well.
The Street Stocks and Mini Stocks will remain on the Monday night schedule racing for the posted purse below, but they will not be Duel in the Dirt points events. The Duel in the Dirt points events will run on Pete Cosco Memorial night August 29th.
Vince kept the speedway closed as other tracks around the province hosted races this year because he wanted to make sure the fans and racers were treated to an exciting new look. New lighting, a new track surface, manicured grounds, and a new inside guardrail on the racetrack proved to be a big hit with stellar crowds in both the pits and the grandstands Friday and Saturday night.
Big money was won in two sprint car divisions, late models, street stocks, and mini stocks, and Monday will offer even greater purses for the region’s four mainstay race divisions.
