@41Holdaway • @kartSTARTca •@JoesRacing •ORILLIA, ON – Holdaway Motorsports is excited to welcome KartSTART presented by Toyota and Yamaha Canada as sponsors on Taylor Holdaway’s Toyota Camry Late Model for the 2016 racing season.

Taylor Holdaway, in partnership with JOES Racing Products, is also excited to announce he will be a part of Team JOES for the 2016 season.

“TeamJOES was started in efforts to promote JOES Racing Products but at the same time give back to the racing community and help promote drivers at a grassroots level,” said JOES marketing manager Brent Anderson.

Holdaway becomes the first Canadian to be selected to TeamJOES in the history of the program following his accomplishment as the first Canadian to finish in the top-three in NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Series national points.

“We are thrilled to have Taylor as a part of this year’s TeamJOES family. His on track stats and professionalism is what really caught our eye,” Anderson added.

KartSTART presented by Toyota continues its support of the Holdaway Motorsports team in 2016. Operated by respected motorsports journalist Russ Bond, KartSTART presented by Toyota is a half-day program that teaches children 10 and older the physics and dynamics of operating a motor vehicle within a safe and controlled environment.

“It’s the only program in Canada where kids can learn a little bit about driving as young as 10 years old. It’s a family atmosphere. They come out, they get to try the go karts and we teach the parents about the Toyota STAR safety system. It’s a whole family day,” Bond explained.

After Holdaway’s record-setting 2015 season, KartSTART presented by Toyota has increased its support for the upcoming campaign.

“Russ really stepped up this year. It’s a good partnership that is going to progress each year,” said Holdaway. “I’m happy to have Russ and his whole team back on board this year. Hopefully we can continue the success we had with them last year and help get people out to the KartSTART presented by Toyota program again this year.”

“He’s very valuable in promoting the dates the KartSTART presented by Toyota program goes to Sunset Speedway. Having started in karts, he’s a good representative,” Bond said of his partnership with Holdaway.

Yamaha Motor Canada is joining Taylor Holdaway’s No.41 for the first time in 2016 and will supply the championship winning team with a new 2016 Yamaha Grizzly 700 EPS SE All-Terrain Vehicle for the duration of the season.

“At Sunset, you have to take your pit box on to pit road. Some weeks we would be trying to load a little cart with a spare tire, impact gun and jack. It just adds stress to the weekend,” said Holdaway.

“It’s going to be awesome not to worry about any of that this year. To show up and be self-contained, it makes our whole race day that much smoother. I can’t thank Matt Both and his team enough for their support,” added Holdaway.

JOES Racing Products, KartSTART presented by Toyota and Yamaha Motor Canada join returning sponsors Image Factor Motorsport Designs, Castrol Motor Oil, Wix Filters and Holdaway Automotive.

About KartSTART presented by Toyota: Our half-day course gives youngsters – 10 years and older – a driving experience in vehicles that fit them… go-karts. Our driving experience includes: Professional Racing Kart, Qualified Instructors, Use of Snell approved Helmet, Use of CIK Racing Suit, Safety Driving exercise for the whole Family and a Catered Lunch. Our expert instructors give our new drivers a clear understanding behind the physics and dynamics of driving a motorized vehicle in a closed course environment. Learn more at www.kartstart.ca.

In addition, the families that attend our kartSTART program are mentored in the latest safety developments in road cars. We exclusively use Toyota – well known for their commitment to safety – vehicles to demonstrate the safety systems contained within the vehicles. This gives the entire family a better understanding of how to make the most out of the STAR safety systems available to them in Toyota passenger vehicles. Our goal at kartSTART is two things. Firstly, to give young drivers their first experience behind the wheel. Secondly, to give the entire family a better understanding of current STAR safety systems available from Toyota. Find out more about the Toyota Star Safety systems at www.toyota.ca.
