August 28, 2013 (Delaware, ON)- Delaware Speedway’s annual Labour Day tradition of The Great Canadian Race Weekend is set to get underway this Friday and Saturday August 30 and 31.

The weekend features a thrilling racing lineup across the two days with Friday’s Krown Rust Control night starting at 7:30 pm showcasing competition from the Trucks, Super Stocks, famous muscle-car V8 Stocks, and a King of the Hill Spectator’s race. Saturday’s racing begins at 2:00 pm and highlights the track’s fastest cars and drivers with $10,000 in potential prizing for the winner of the Great Canadian Race: The Keystone Light 200 presented by Sifton Properties.

Tickets for the event and competitor information is available through the track website www.delawarespeedway.com.

===Autograph Sessions & Bouncy Castle===

The weekend features a pair of special autograph sessions which will allow spectators to get up close to the racing vehicles and meet the drivers who will be competition. The track’s new souvenir autograph books will also be available.

On Saturday afternoon a special Bouncy Castle will be available for children. The inflatable will be open from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm and will be located towards the turn four side of the spectator hill. The castle is available to kids at no charge, included with admission.

===A $10,000 Challenge from McRobert Fuels===

For Saturday, the winner of the Great Canadian Race could potentially take home a $10,000 payday: if they accept the challenge. The speedway had previously announced the posted awards for the event which see the winner take home $3000 with the opportunity to claim an additional $1000 if they are the leader of the event at lap 100 and another $1000 if they were still the leader at the end of the race on lap 200. This would bring their total payday to $5000. Now, McRobert Fuels has added an extra $5000 to the top prize if the driver who is leading at lap 100 takes the challenge of dropping to the back of the lead lap and goes on to win the race. In other words, if the driver who is leading at lap 100 accepts the McRobert Challenge, drops to the rear and goes on to win the race, they will take home a spectacular $10,000 in prizing.
