@GoNuclearSeries • @UR_Speedway • FRANKFORD, ON – The Go Nuclear! Late Model Series is set to kick off its 2016 season with the Prelude to the Gnome Cup at Utica-Rome Speedway on Sunday, April 24.
The $1000-to-win, $125-to-start race is the first of 12 scheduled events for the series’ sixth season of competition.
The series looks to pick up where the 2015 season left off with another nail biting finish. Defending series champion Lee Gill has confirmed his attendance at the event as well as runner-up Charlie Sandercock and third-place finisher Greg Belyea.
Utica, NY native Aaron Jacobs is the most recent tour winner at Utica-Rome. Jacobs claimed the second annual Gnome Cup at the Vernon, NY track on July 12, 2015 defeating a very difficult cast of characters for his first Late Model win. Jacobs will also be in attendance with the intent of returning to victory lane.
Spectator gates open at 3:30pm for the 6:00pm event. General admission is $16 for adults, Seniors/Students/Military $13 while kids 16 and under are free. All prices in US Dollars. Pit admission is $27 with a NASCAR license and $32 without. Big-Block Modifieds, 602 Sportsman, Open Sportsman and Pro Stocks are also on the schedule.
