TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC — Canadian racing icon Alex Tagliani is gearing up for a full-throttle weekend at the upcoming Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, where he’ll compete in three different series: the Emzone Radical Cup Canada, the NASCAR Canada Series, and the Super Production Challenge.
A past winner on the iconic street circuit in both Formula Atlantic and NASCAR Canada, Tagliani returns to Trois-Rivières aiming to capture a fourth career win at the famed event. But this year, he’s taking on his most ambitious weekend yet — making his long-awaited debut in the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin, driving one of the ultra-light, high-downforce Radical SR3s — an experience he’s long wanted to add to his racing resume.
“I’m really looking forward to driving a Radical — it’s a great series,” said Tagliani. “My friend Cédric Ohayon races in it and kept telling me how amazing the cars are to drive. They’re light, they’ve got a lot of downforce, and they’re fast. I didn’t expect to get the chance to race one at an event like Trois-Rivières, so I have to thank Radical Canada and FEL Motorsports for the opportunity. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try.”
Alongside his Radical debut, Tagliani will pilot his familiar ride in the NASCAR Canada Series, and also take on the Super Production Challenge in a BMW — rounding out an intense triple-duty schedule. Known for his versatility and longevity, Tagliani’s career spans IndyCar, NASCAR, prototypes, and touring cars, and this weekend marks another significant milestone in an already storied career.
Fans can catch Tagliani in action across all three series from August 8–10 as the streets of Trois-Rivières once again roar to life for one of Canada’s premier motorsport festivals.
