Stroud, ON (June 13, 2017)- Starting deep in the field, Eric Yorke once again made his way to the front to score another top-five finish on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
He started off the night strong, posting a runner-up to his DY Racing teammate Lisa DeLeeuw in the first heat, followed by a victory in the second qualifier.
Starting 18th in the feature, he began to make his way forward immediately, moving up to seventh as of Lap 13. He’d then pass DeLeeuw on Lap 14 to jump up to sixth, getting alongside Stefan Woyslaw for fifth a lap later. He was unable to complete the pass before the caution flew for a single-car spin, seeing him remain in sixth for the restart.
Restarting sixth, he would get by Stefan Woyslaw on the restart, and attempted to get by Doug Butler for fourth, but was unable to complete the pass at the checkered, crossing the finish line in fifth.
He will hope to continue posting the solid finishes, possibly grabbing his third victory of this year, this weekend at Sunset Speedway on June 17.
Yorke and DY Racing are proud to be supported by Can-Alignment Motorsports, Solex Steel, Partimer Signs, Skytec Rentals, Budget Tire, Scentsy Consultant – Lisa DeLeeuw, and Cabral Racing Promotions.
