@Sunset_Speedway • INNISFIL, ON (July 28, 2015) – After showing a ton of speed over the past couple of weeks, Eric Yorke took the lead in the early going and didn’t look back en route to scoring his first feature victory of the season in the Graham Landscape Mini Stock division.
Yorke started off the night in victory lane, scoring the victory in his heat and in the Dash for Cash. He then kept the positive momentum going, drawing the pole for the feature.
Come feature time, Yorke would put the No. 51 Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs, Ancaster Embroidery, Country Girl Designs and Skytec Rentals Nissan into the lead off of the pole ahead of Justin Holmes and Doug Butler. He would then lead all the way to the first caution at lap 15.
The second half of the feature would see a pair of back-to-back restarts, in which Yorke aced as he held on to the lead ahead of the field. He then led the rest of the way en route to scoring the victory.
Keep up with Yorke all season long at https://dyracing.wordpress.com and like the DY Racing facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/dyracing. Photos from the victory can be seen on the DY Racing website.
Yorke will return to Sunset Speedway on Saturday night in hopes of more success. Be sure to get there early as there’s a pre-race autograph session. Details and tickets can be purchased via http://www.sunsetspeedway.ca.
